We are getting maried next year and when searching venues we found that the price per head for food was simply too much. However, we have found a great solution, the tow hall.
We will be having our reception in a beautiful hall and we can have our own alcohol (my Aunty has a personal licence) and serve our own food as we have hired out the kitchen. It has saved us a fortune and the hall is well beyond expectations, very elegant. So it is always worth checking this out.
Also looking for different places for your venue can also save you money, we are geting married in an old observatory (so the room is circular) in the middle of a beautiful park.
So all in all for the ceremony (including registrar), and a venue that caters for upto 400 guests it has cost us under a grand.
Hope this helps _________________ http://www.serendipitybusiness.com
